It has been 70 years since economist Joseph Alois Schumpeter shared his theory of ‘Creative Destruction‘ showing how gradual step-by-step improvement eventually hits a brick wall - and that unexpected rapid jumps of innovation are nearly always the way through.
Well here we are sat at the brink of the first recession in the U.K. for 16 years. We do this at a time when a powerful new wave of digitial tools is starting to turn upside down the ways in which companies communicate and engage with their people, customers and communities. Creative destruction? This is a perfect storm.
The Brainstorm is a place for those of you who - like me - believe that this new ’social age’ of the internet offers opportunity to radically transform our organisations, groups, even nations for the better.
